  • To reserve a burial space a minimum of $400 must be made as a down payment.
  • All burial plots are subject to a State required Endowment Care fund Contribution.
  • To be buried in our Military Section, we must have a copy of the military discharge papers (DD-214).

What is Endowment Care?

Endowment Care Fund—Moneys collected from cemetery property purchasers placed in trust for the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery. The state monitors the fund and establishes the minimum amount that must be collected. However, the cemetery is permitted to collect more than the minimum to build the fund. Only the income from such deposited funds may be used for the care, maintenance, and embellishment of the cemetery.

Opening & Closing

Costs involved with opening and closing of a burial plot. Opening and Closing costs are those related to opening the burial plot when a death occurs. These costs can be paid at the time of need or can be placed in trust with us to be applied at the time of burial.

Key Benefit to pre-arrangement of opening and closing costs:
  • Removes the burden from your survivors.

Vaults and Liners

There are different types of outer burial containers. An outer burial container is what lines the open grave and what the casket is lowered into. Once the casket is lowered, the Vault or Liner as they are commonly referred to, is then covered and the top soil replaced. There are Sealing and Non-Sealing outer burial containers. "Sealing" refers to the ability of the vault or liner to seal out grave elements such as soil and water. (Park View Cemetery makes no warranties, neither expressed or implied, as to the ability of the vault or liner to completely resist the entry of grave elements. Only the manufacturer's warranty is applicable.)
  •     Non-Sealing outer burial containers offered at Park View consist of the Lawn Crypt and the Vault.
  •     Sealing outer burial containers offered at Park View consist of the Titan ; the Phoenix ; and the Patrician.

Markers & Monuments

  • Monuments and markers can be made of marble, granite, and bronze.
  • There are three basic types of monuments: Upright, Slant, and Flat.
  • The cost of a monument is mainly affected by three factors: material, size, and options such as vases/pictures etc.
How to order
  • Contact the licensed memorial dealer of your choice and begin to process your order.
  • Your monument dealer should contact us to get approval for the type, size, material, and specifications of your desired monument.  They do this by submitting our monument approval application. It is important that your dealer get approval BEFORE they begin to make the monument so that you do not have  monument made that later gets denied for some reason.  This is very important. (You do not need to contact us prior to ordering.  You should begin your order process directly with your monument dealer, but be sure to let them know to complete our application prior to making the monument.)
  • Your monument dealer should email us at monuments@parkviewmortuary.com to submit the application or to ask questions about your plot, restrictions, etc.
  • If you have questions about this process please send an email to monuments@parkviewmortuary.com .
