Obituary for Pamela Sandra Apostolos

Pamela S. Apostolos
May 17, 1955 - January 4, 2020

Pamela S. Apostolos passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, January 4, 2020. She was nonetheless surrounded by loved ones as she made her transition from this world to heaven.

She was born to Maurice and Betty Bell, and grew up in San Lorenzo, California. She married the love of her life, George Apostolos, on September 4, 1977, and soon after came their cherished children, Stephen and Christina. Pamela also resided in Hayward, California, and eventually Stockton, California, but she always said San Lorenzo was her home.

Pamela loved openly, accepting people for who they were. She was a friend to many, and loved to give and receive hugs. In her spare time, she volunteered with the Hayward Area Historical Society. She could be found nearly every open weekend at McConaghy House, but also helped in the archives and gave school tours to students. She often credited the Historical Society for helping her find herself again after losing her husband in 2007.

Pamela is survived by her son Stephen and his fiance Marcess; daughter Christina; and brother Terry Bell and his family; as well as numerous close friends she considered her family. She was preceded in death by her husband George, and her parents Maurice and Betty Bell.

Services will be held at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church in Stockton with interment following at Park View Cemetery in Manteca.

In lieu of a reception, friends and family are invited to come to McConaghy House in Hayward during regular open house hours from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM on Saturday, February 1st for an informal time of visiting and remembrance. McConaghy House is located at 18701 Hesperian Blvd in Hayward, next to Kennedy Park.
